Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I consider stump removal after a tree is cut down?

Stump removal is important for several reasons. First, it prevents new growth from sprouting, which can make your yard look untidy. Stumps can also become breeding grounds for pests like termites or ants, posing a threat to your home. Additionally, stumps are tripping hazards, especially in high-traffic areas. Removing them improves the aesthetic of your landscape and frees up space for new plants or trees. Phil’s Tree Service Seacoast offers efficient stump grinding, ensuring a smooth, clean yard and reducing the risk of regrowth or pest problems.

What is the difference between tree trimming and tree cutting service?

Tree-cutting service involves the complete removal of a tree, typically when it is diseased, damaged, or poses a safety risk. It may also be necessary when a tree is in the way of construction or other projects. Tree trimming, on the other hand, involves removing specific branches to enhance the tree’s health, appearance, and safety. Trimming is a regular maintenance practice to remove dead or overgrown branches, while tree cutting is a more drastic measure used when the tree cannot be saved or poses a danger to the property.

When would I need tree crane removal instead of traditional tree removal methods?

Tree crane removal is typically necessary for large or tall trees that are difficult to access or located near structures like buildings or power lines. Cranes allow for controlled, precise removal of tree sections, reducing the risk of damage to nearby property. This method is especially useful when a tree is too heavy or tall to be safely removed using traditional equipment or when the location of the tree makes it hard to reach. Using a crane helps ensure safe and efficient removal with minimal impact on your landscape.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Phil and company do an outstanding job. I have hired them to remove and trim very large trees on two occasions. In both cases I was very happy with the results. They arrived on schedule and completed the work in a very pleasant and professional manner. I would hire them again and recommend them to my friends.

During our estimate appointment, Phil displayed incredible professionalism and knowledge in his field.

His crew came out today, NYE, dealt with our icy driveway (even came early to salt to ensure his team would be safe), AND the bitter cold and did an incredible job removing large and small trees.

Exceeded expectations! Thank you to Phil, Kat, and the team!

It was a small job but they never treated it like it was too small for them. They were very professional and polite and did an amazing job. Their office manager was also great! She answered every email that I sent immediately and kept us well informed throughout the whole process. I'd highly recommend them and I'll definitely use them in the future.
